Working with Artists
During the last couple of years some of our students have had the opportunity to work with visiting artists. Gifted & Talented Year 8 students worked with the Youth Arts Team from Telford & Wrekin to produce a large mural, which was installed last year at GKN Sankey. This year a number of our Year 10 GCSE students worked with local artist Jenny Gunning to produce painted sections of ‘The Big Picture’ – an enormous painting which was put onto scaffolding and unveiled at The Museum of Iron, Coalbrookdale. Both projects have been highly successful and greatly enjoyed by students.
