The History department has two full time and one part time members of staff. The department comprises of:

Mrs M Simmonds – Head of History
Mr A Doran – Teacher of History, IC Politics
Mrs Adams – Teacher of History

The History department prides itself on its resources, the members of the team, the atmosphere created in the classroom and the educational visits that it organises. The classrooms that the History department are based in are well equipped with whiteboards, projectors and full video capabilities, they have many displays of present pupils’ work and provide an effective teaching and learning space within the college.

Within the History Curriculum, students study a wide range of topics covering a huge time period.

  • British Depth Study 1890-1918

  • Inter war years 1919-1939
  • USA 1919-1941
