ICT@BRJ

Welcome to the ICT Department at Blessed Robert Johnson Catholic College.  As a department we aim to provide all students with an excellent standard of teaching leading to the development of ICT skills that will enhance their learning across the whole curriculum.  We ensure that students of all abilities have access to equal opportunities to prepare them for their future in life.  We have high expectations of our students and make sure that they fulfill and in many cases exceed their potential.

We aim to provide a quality and interactive learning experience, which is free from disruption in a secure environment.  Consistency of expectations and standards is of up-most importance within the department.

At present, students receive the following ICT curriculum:

  • At KS3, students follow the National ICT Secondary Strategy.  Year 9 starts the OCR Nationals in ICT – this is linked with the National ICT Secondary Strategy levels.
  • At KS4, students follow the Edexcel AIDA with the potential of CIDA
  • At KS5, students follow the GCE AQA in Information Technology.

Our department comprises of the following staff:

  • Mr I Barrett – Assistant Headteacher & eLearning Director
  • Ms Power – Head of ICT
  • Mr Stamp – Assistant Head of Sixth Form & Teacher of ICT/Maths
  • Mrs Daniels – Teacher of ICT
