Useful Websites for Learning Languages:

www.bonjourdefrance.com

A very useful website for language learning and practice. Have a look at the ‘Compréhension’ section and choose the level for you. The hyperlinks explain words in the text but you may have to temporarily allow pop ups to see them. Also useful grammar explanations followed by exercise and several pages of French idioms explained. The vocabulary section is also worth having a look at. Explanations are in French but don’t let this put you off!

Forums, chat, celebrity news, fashion, health etc aimed at young French speakers. Read about all you favourite TV shows in French. A really good site; have a browse and read for gist!

A really excellent site for language learners from KS3 – KS5. The site can not be accessed between 9am and 4pm on week days but can be viewed at home for free at any other time.
5 star rating! The site has sound files and video links for AS and A2. Really worth a look.

Web sites for young French readers – news, forums and information on sport and culture. Two sites to browse and pick out a text you are interested in to read through and note new vocabulary.

A great place to start. The site includes audio/visual material and is aimed at different ability Levels.

A site set up by Manchester University. A little difficult to navigate but there are some useful exercises to revise vocabulary and topics. Click on secondary topics, choose a topic to practise and then move on to the games for test yourself. Great for getting more confident with verb tenses.
