Gifted and Talented

As part of our commitment to meet the needs of all children, the college has a Gifted and Talented programme that caters for the most able. Some of these involve extension activities that may take place outside the normal school day or in holidays.
Recent examples include musical residential weekends, visits to universities such as Loughborough University’s elite sports centre and opportunities to broaden their language skills to include Greek. Students are also able to gain accreditation through extra curricular performing arts activities.
This year our programme has been extended to allow gifted artists to gain a GCSE while still in Key Stage 3 or, if linguistically inclined, to try their hand at Latin.
